Your role is to provide tailored academic support while helping learners rebuild confidence, engagement and positive learning habits.
The Role
*
Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in the learner’s home or an agreed community setting, such as a library.

Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes.
*
Support learners with core subjects, helping them make academic progress at a pace that suits them.
*
Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
*
Record learner progress and provide regular feedback following local authority or school requirements.
*
Work collaboratively with families, schools and case coordinators to ensure each learner receives the support they need.

Requirements
*
Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
*
Experience delivering personalised teaching or tutoring.
*
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.
*
Excellent communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach.
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong relevant tutoring experience.

What We Offer
*
Competitive pay of £27-£30 per hour.
*
Flexible working hours to fit your availability.
*
Long-term opportunities through local authority and school contracts.
*
The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the education and wellbeing of vulnerable learners.
