Learning Support Assistant - Newham, East LondonProspero Teaching is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in Newham. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN and behavioural needs.
Role Details:
*Location: Newham, East London
*Position: Learning Support Assistant
*Start Date: September 2026
*Contract: Ongoing until the end of the academic year, with potential extension
*Hours: Full-time, 8:00am-4:00pm
Responsibilities:
*Support students with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and behavioural needs
*Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
*Work closely with teaching staff to support learning and development
*Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
*Build strong relationships with students and staff
Requirements:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
*Teaching Assistant or support work experience (desirable)
*Bachelor’s Degree (desirable)
*Passion for education and supporting young people
*Reliable, punctual and committed
