Pastoral Lead - HuddersfieldA brilliant and highly supportive secondary school in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Pastoral Lead to join their team on a long-term basis through Hays Education. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour support, and creating a positive school culture.
The Role
*Lead on pastoral care across a designated year group or key stage
*Support students with behaviour, attendance, safeguarding concerns, and wellbeing needs
*Work closely with senior leaders, heads of year, and external agencies
*Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff
*Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment
Requirements
*Recent experience (within the last 3 years) providing pastoral support in a UK high school
*Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and attendance processes
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Ability to remain calm, consistent, and solution-focused
*A genuine commitment to improving student outcomes and wellbeing
Contract Details
