Location: Axminster
We are looking for an Accounts Technician to join a supportive and busy accountancy team. This role is ideal for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of businesses and has experience preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and simple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare VAT returns and bookkeeping for a range of clients
*Prepare straightforward financial statements and accounts
*Assist with general accounting and compliance tasks
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
*Support the wider team with day-to-day accounting duties
*Participate in team projects and provide office support as needed

About You
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience; ACA/ACCA Part Qualified candidates will also be considered
*Confident preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and straightforward accounts
*Professional, approachable, and able to build strong relationships
*Organised, resilient, and able to meet deadlines
*Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
*Comfortable using standard office software and accounting systems
