Description
Finance Manager responsibilities include;
Financial Operations & Reporting
*Lead month-end and year-end close processes
*Prepare and post journals including accruals and prepayments
*Support the production of management information and board packs
*Assist with cashflow forecasting and financial reporting accuracy
Commercial Analysis
*Deliver sales, margin, and customer profitability analysis
*Support development of product and profitability reporting
*Work closely with departmental heads to enhance financial reporting and ownership
Stock & Manufacturing Finance
*Manage stock valuation and analysis
*Support standard costing and production-related financial processes
*Collaborate with production teams on performance and reporting improvements
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
*Manage a team of 3 direct reports
*Build strong cross-functional relationships across the business
*Support audit processes and respond to audit queries
Systems & Process Improvement
*Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation
*Support integration of systems
*Review and enhance existing financial models and reporting tools
Profile
The successful Finance Manager should have:
*Leadership or people management experience is required.
*A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
*Experience in Manufacturing or engineering environments (desirable, not essential).
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
