Key Responsibilities
*Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
*Prepare and process bank payments accurately and on time.
*Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
*Assist with customer receipts and sales ledger activities.
*Support stock accounting processes, including stock reconciliations and inventory reporting.
*Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to stock, supplier accounts, and bank transactions.
*Assist with month-end procedures and management accounts preparation.
*Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
*Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding finance queries.
*Support audits and provide information as required.
*Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures.
Profile
A successful Junior Finance Assistant should have:
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance, accounts, or accounting assistant role.
*Experience processing bank payments and performing bank reconciliations.
*Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
