Description
*Oversee VAT compliance and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current regulations.
*Work closely with internal teams to provide VAT-related advice and support.
*Monitor changes in VAT legislation and implement necessary process adjustments.
*Collaborate with external advisors and auditors as required.
*Identify opportunities for VAT efficiencies and risk mitigation.
*Support the accounting and finance department with ad hoc tax queries.
*Maintain accurate documentation for VAT audits and compliance checks.
Profile
A successful VAT Manager should have:
*A strong background in VAT compliance and reporting, preferably within the FMCG industry.
*Relevant qualifications in accounting, tax, or finance.
*Excellent knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its application.
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
*The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
