Full job descriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Asian jewellery shop. The successful candidate will assist customers in selecting jewellery, provide excellent customer service, maintain product displays, and support daily store operations. Knowledge of Asian jewellery styles, traditions, and customer preferences is an advantage.
Duties and responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
Assist customers in selecting jewellery that meets their preferences, budget, and cultural requirements.
Explain product features, materials, craftsmanship, and pricing.
Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle customer inquiries, special orders, and after-sales service requests.
Maintain attractive and organised jewellery displays.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
Ensure jewellery items are properly secured and handled according to store procedures.
Support store opening and closing duties.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the shop.
Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
Stay informed about current jewellery trends, new collections, and promotional offers
Experience and qualifications
Previous retail sales experience preferred, ideally in jewellery, luxury goods, or fashion retail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and sales abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic numeracy skills and cash-handling experience.
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Ability to speak additional languages commonly used by the local Asian community is an advantage.
