Full job descriptionDirector of FP&A | £125,000 + Bonus + Significant Exit-Based LTIP | Greater Manchester (Near Walkden)
Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed business to appoint a Director of FP&A at a pivotal stage in its journey.
With a clear value creation plan and a defined exit horizon, this is a rare opportunity to join the executive finance team in a role that will be instrumental in preparing the business for a successful transaction. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll lead the evolution of the FP&A function, providing the insight, rigour and commercial challenge required to support strategic decision-making and maximise shareholder value.
This is far more than a traditional planning and analysis role. You’ll play a key part in shaping the investment narrative, enhancing financial reporting, strengthening forecasting capability and ensuring the business is genuinely exit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A function.
*Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
*Deliver insightful analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
*Build board-quality reporting and KPI dashboards for investors and the executive team.
*Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting capability and financial controls.
*Partner with operational and commercial leaders to identify value creation opportunities.
*Support lender, investor and due diligence requirements throughout the exit process.
*Develop robust financial models, scenario planning and valuation analysis to underpin strategic initiatives.
*Play a central role in preparing the business for a successful private equity exit.
About You
We’re looking for an ambitious finance leader who combines technical excellence with strong commercial acumen.
You’ll ideally be:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
*An experienced FP&A leader operating at Head of FP&A, Director of FP&A or a similar senior commercial finance level.
*Comfortable working within a private equity-backed, fast-paced or transformational environment.
*Experienced in building sophisticated financial models and presenting complex information clearly.
*A confident business partner with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and investors.
*Exposure to transaction support, refinancing, acquisitions or exit readiness would be highly advantageous.
