Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our clients which specialises in general haulage deliveries.
Information about this Class 1 position:
*AD HOC work (between Monday to Friday)
*Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
*Completing deliveries and some collections around the South Coast area
*Day and Night shifts available (10-12 hour days on average)
*Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
*Night shifts include trunk runs and trailer swaps
*Communicating with Transport Office, following provided routes, completing all relevant paperwork correctly
Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:
*Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
*Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
*Great communication skills
*Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries/ strapping
*Own transport to commute to and from work
*Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
*Complete daily vehicle checks
*Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
*Record Tacho hours correctly
