We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about inspiring young learners and supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
This role offers the chance to join a supportive school community on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of further opportunities for the right candidate.
Role Highlights:*Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum
*Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
*Support both academic progress and pupils’ social and emotional development
*Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities
*Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing clear and effective feedback
*Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and resilience
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support pupil outcomes
*Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, trips, and events
About You:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting (KS1 or KS2 desirable)
*Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
*A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
*Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
*A strong commitment to raising pupil attainment and supporting whole-child development
*ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive full support and mentoring
