Description
Key responsibilities include:
*Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production continuity, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
*Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers, contracts, pricing agreements, and service levels.
*Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activities to ensure optimal stock availability and control costs.
*Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and resolve supply issues.
*Lead procurement operations, ensuring compliance, reporting on key metrics, and driving process improvements.
Profile
The successful candidate would have:
*Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, including supplier and contract management.
*Strong negotiation, vendor management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
*Proficient in ERP/procurement systems, Microsoft Excel, reporting, and budget management.
*Effective communicator with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
*Procurement certifications would be advantageous e.g. CIPS, CPSM, CPIM.
