Full job descriptionThe Accounts Manager will play a key role in overseeing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, and managing financial operations effectively. This permanent role in Yelling, Cambridgeshire, requires expertise in payroll systems and a strong grasp of accounting principles.

Description
*Manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 200 employees.
*Produce payslips, process payroll changes and resolve payroll queries.
*Oversee invoicing across local authorities, healthcare bodies, residents and family contributions.
*Maintain financial records, reconciliations and ledger postings within Sage.
*Prepare quarterly management accounts and banking reports.
*Liaise with external accountants and support year-end processes.
*Manage purchasing and supply requests from operational sites.
*Act as the primary finance contact for managers, employees and external stakeholders.
*Provide financial reporting, administration and support across the wider business.
*Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies.
Profile
A successful Accounts Manager should have:
*Proven end-to-end payroll experience, including manual payroll calculations.
*A strong understanding of PAYE and payroll legislation.
*Experience using Sage ERP systems, ideally Sage 250.
*Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, or transactional role.
*A solid understanding of accounting and finance operations.
*Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
