An established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in commercial litigation and civil dispute resolution who is looking to manage a varied caseload while contributing to the continued expansion of a successful department.
The successful candidate will advise a broad range of clients on complex and high-value disputes along with playing an active role in business development, building professional relationships and supporting the firm’s long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Litigation Solicitor will be responsible for managing a broad range of contentious matters, including:
*Commercial disputes, including shareholder, partnership and director disputes.
*Commercial and residential property litigation.
*Contractual disputes and breach of contract claims.
*Professional negligence matters.
*Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings.
*Insolvency-related disputes.
*Defamation claims.
*Restrictive covenant and post-termination disputes.
*Managing County Court and High Court litigation from initial instruction through to resolution.
*Representing clients during negotiations, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
*Advising clients on litigation strategy, legal risk and costs throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery of commercially focused legal advice.
*Developing new business opportunities through networking, marketing initiatives and professional referrals.
*Contributing to the mentoring and development of colleagues and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional client care.
About you
The ideal Litigation Solicitor will possess:
*Experience managing a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters.
*Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution and litigation procedures.
*Experience handling County Court and High Court proceedings, including advocacy where appropriate.
*A commercial approach to legal problem-solving and client advice.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
*A proactive attitude towards business development and networking.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
