Teaching Assistant - SEND School (Complex Needs)Location: RM3
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £90 - £120 (dependant on experience)
Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs SchoolWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in RM3 from September. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND needs.
*Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
*Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
*Help implement individual education plans (EHCP targets) and behaviour support strategies.
*Assist with personal care where required.
*Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence throughout the school day.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have*Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly complex needs.
*A patient, caring, and positive approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
*A willingness to support personal care needs where necessary.
*Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
