Gateline Assistant - Gloucester Station Location: Gloucester Station
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Pay Increase: £15.26 per hour after 12 submitted timesheets
Typical Shifts: 06:15 - 13:15
Contract Type: 0-Hour Contract
We are currently recruiting for Gateline Assistants to join our team at Gloucester Station.
This is a customer-focused role where you’ll be supporting passengers, assisting with ticket checks, and helping ensure the safe and efficient operation of the station.
Key Responsibilities*Assisting passengers entering and exiting the station
*Providing excellent customer service and travel information
*Checking and validating tickets where required
*Managing passenger flow during busy periods
*Maintaining a safe and welcoming station environment
*Reporting incidents and issues in line with procedures
What We’re Looking For*Strong communication and customer service skills
*A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
*Reliability and punctuality
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Previous customer service experience is advantageous but not essential
About the ContractThis role is offered on a 0-hour contract basis, meaning we cannot guarantee fixed shifts every week. However, we typically have frequent shift availability, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible work.
There are also opportunities to increase your hours by:
*Picking up shifts at neighbouring stations
*Supporting on special projects and rail-related assignments when available
This position is particularly well-suited to:

*Individuals looking for part-time work
