This is an office-based position, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year (may go higher for the right candidate). Company pension, 23 days holiday.


We are looking for a senior accountant to join our team in an office-based role. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts preparation, ranging from sole traders to Partnerships and Limited Companies, with the opportunity for future progression/manager level for the right candidate.


Key roles and responsibilities include:
*Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records
*Company and personal tax return preparation
*Managing own portfolio (manager role)
*Reviewing work of other employees
*Liaising with clients on all accounting matters
*Other ad-hoc projects as they arise
Skills required
*ACA or ACCA qualified. Will consider QBE but must have minimum of 3 years practice experience.
*A minimum of 3 years of recent experience within a UK-based, qualified firm of accountants is desirable
*Management accounts experience is desirable
*Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses, including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies, Partnerships, and LLPs
*Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard
*Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero.
*A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and word is essential
