The Role
As an Assistant Tax and Trust Manager, you will work closely with experienced Tax and Trust Managers and Private Client solicitors, supporting a broad range of trust compliance and taxation matters. This is a varied role offering exposure to complex client work while providing excellent opportunities to expand your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with trust compliance, including the preparation of trust accounts and tax returns.
*Prepare inheritance tax forms for trusts.
*Support the preparation for and attendance at client meetings.
*Assist with complex tax and trust matters alongside Tax and Trust Managers and Private Client solicitors.
*Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
*Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and industry developments.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Private Client team to deliver exceptional client service.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in trust and private client taxation.
You will have:
*ACA qualification, ideally newly qualified with up to two years’ relevant experience.
*Strong knowledge of trust accounting and trust taxation.
*An understanding of estate, personal, offshore, and indirect taxation.
*Experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Good IT skills, with experience using CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax being advantageous.
*The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve billing targets.
