Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in primary education?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to register for full-time opportunities within a variety of welcoming primary schools across Sheffield. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and helping every child reach their full potential.
The RoleAs a SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
*Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small group interventions.
*Work closely with class teachers and SENDCOs to deliver personalised learning and support plans.
*Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
*Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
What We’re Looking ForTo be considered for these opportunities, you should have:
*Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school or similar educational setting.
*A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting children’s individual needs.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
