Job Description:
Full job descriptionA well-established business in York is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a driven and proactive Credit Controller.
This role is a 6 month contract.
*A strong candidate for this position will need:
*AAT qualified to minimum level 3 or qualified by experience
*Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
*Strong understanding of cash collection, aged debt management, and account reconciliation
*A proactive attitude, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
The duties of this role include:
*Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
*Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional manner
*Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
*Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
*Building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams
*Assisting with improving credit control procedures and processes
