Part time Morning hours
Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Assistant looking for a rewarding morning role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are recruiting for a dedicated individual to provide one to one support for a pupil in Plymouth with medical and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident, proactive and experienced in working with complex needs.
Key Requirements
*Medical training with experience in diabetes management
*Strong experience supporting pupils with challenging or complex behaviour
*Physically fit and able to respond quickly to ensure pupil safety
*Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive and consistent approach
*Previous SEN experience is highly desirable
*DBS on the update service is advantageous
Role Responsibilities
*Provide consistent one to one support during morning sessions
*Monitor and manage medical needs, including diabetes care
*Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
*Ensure the pupil’s safety at all times, including responding to attempts to leave supervised areas
*Work collaboratively with school staff and follow individual care and behaviour plans
