Key ResponsibilitiesAs a General Building Operative, you’ll play an important part in keeping the site safe, tidy and well maintained by:
*Carrying out a variety of Building maintenance tasks across the site
*Supporting skilled trades with repair and maintenance projects
*Completing general decorating, minor repairs, furniture assembly and other practical maintenance duties
*Reporting defects and ensuring equipment, fixtures and facilities remain in good working order
*Assisting with site upkeep, including external areas when required
*Providing support for contractors and helping maintain a safe working environment
*Undertaking a range of Facilities Maintenance duties as required to support the wider team
What we’re looking forWe’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
*Previous experience in general property repairs, Building maintenance, or similar hands-on work
*Good practical DIY skills and the ability to complete a variety of maintenance tasks
*A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
*The ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing your own workload
*Strong time management and a reliable approach to work
*A relevant trade qualification or CITB certification would be advantageous but isn’t essential
