Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
A well-established and respected law firm in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual with at least two years’ conveyancing experience to become part of a supportive and professional firm. You’ll play a key role in assisting fee earners with a varied caseload, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities *Liaising with estate agents and mortgage brokers via telephone and email to provide updates on transactions.
*Handling incoming client enquiries and resolving matters wherever possible.
*Preparing and issuing contract packs.
*Assisting with replies to enquiries.
*Audio typing and dictation as required.
*Preparing and issuing mortgage reports to clients.
*Managing incoming post and correspondence.
*Requesting mortgage funds, ordering redemption statements and obtaining estate agents’ accounts.
*Preparing completion packs, including draft completion statements and bills.
*Assisting with completions and post-completion administration.
*Filing, billing, photocopying and general administrative support.
*Providing additional support to the conveyancing team as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
*A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Residential Conveyancing.
*Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
*The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
*Excellent communication and client care skills.
*Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
*The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
*A proactive and positive approach with excellent attention to detail.
