We’re looking for a Fire Door Surveyor to join a well-established property management company, helping to ensure residential developments remain safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fire door inspections or building compliance who enjoys a varied role combining site-based surveying with office support.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out scheduled fire door inspections across a large residential portfolio while supporting the wider property management team.
Key responsibilities include:
*Surveying approximately 1,500 communal fire doors on a rolling programme (four inspections per year)
*Identifying defects and recording findings accurately
*Producing clear inspection reports and maintaining compliance records
*Ensuring fire doors meet current legislation and safety standards
*Liaising with contractors regarding remedial works
*Supporting the wider office team with compliance and operational tasks when required
*Maintaining accurate records using internal systems
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
*Experience carrying out fire door surveys or inspections
*Knowledge of current fire safety legislation and fire door compliance
*Excellent attention to detail and report-writing skills
*Experience within residential property, compliance or facilities management is highly desirable
Relevant fire door inspection qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential if you have the right experience!
