Job Description:
Full job descriptionOrka Financial is looking to hire a confident Credit Controller to join their clients wider finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the credit control function who enjoys building relationships and taking ownership of their own sales ledger.
This Credit Controller opportunity will be joining a supportive business where you can make a real impact by managing your own portfolio of accounts and contributing to the company’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
*Take full ownership of your own sales ledger, ensuring outstanding debts are collected efficiently and professionally.
*Proactively chase overdue invoices by telephone and email.
*Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to resolve payment queries.
*Reconcile customer accounts and allocate incoming payments.
*Investigate and resolve invoice and account discrepancies.
*Monitor credit limits and assess customer creditworthiness.
*Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates on collection activity.
*Work closely with internal departments to resolve issues and improve cash flow.
About You:
*Previous experience in a Credit Controller role.
*A good understanding of the credit control function and best practices.
*Confident managing your own ledger and prioritising your workload.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
Salary £30,000 - £31,000 - hybrid working - excellent company benefits
