Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (flexibility required to meet seasonal needs)
Reed Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Groundsperson on behalf of a well-established primary school in Belvedere.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join a dedicated Estates team and play a key role in maintaining high-quality outdoor learning environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for grounds maintenance across a number of local school sites, ensuring they remain safe, attractive, and well-presented throughout the year.
The Role
As Groundsperson, you will work closely with the Estates team to deliver grounds maintenance and landscaping services across multiple school locations.
Key responsibilities include:
*Carrying out grounds maintenance and landscaping duties across school sites.
*Maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard throughout the year.
*Operating hand-held and powered gardening equipment safely and effectively.
*Driving works vehicles between sites as required.
*Assisting with a variety of site maintenance tasks.
*Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
*Working collaboratively as part of a proactive Estates team.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to the Belvedere site each day, where the working day will start and finish. Transport between school sites is provided.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
*Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or a similar role.
*A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
*Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
*A good understanding of health and safety practices.
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in maintaining high standards.
