Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist looking for a role where your skills are genuinely valued?We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Kirriemuir for skilled Sewing Machinists to join their production team.
This is not a general production role. We’re looking for candidates who have sewing experience and take real pride in producing quality work. If you enjoy working with precision, have a strong eye for detail, and are confident using sewing machinery, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a business that values craftsmanship, consistency and teamwork.
Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you’ll be producing technical textile products that require accuracy, care and attention to detail. In return, you’ll benefit from a stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern, full training on products and processes, and the opportunity to secure longer-term employment.


The RoleAs a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for:
*Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
*Producing specialist textile products to exact specifications.
*Working to high quality standards whilst meeting production targets.
*Carrying out routine quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
*Completing production records and documentation accurately.
*Identifying and reporting faults or quality concerns promptly.
*Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
*Supporting the wider production team where required.
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
*Previous sewing experience, ideally using industrial sewing machines.
*Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
*Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*Strong reliability, punctuality and work ethic.
*Willingness to work rotating early and back shifts.
Desirable:
*Experience within textiles, upholstery, upholstery sewing, canvas work, automotive trimming, sail making or other manufacturing sewing environments.
*Previous experience working to production targets and quality standards.
