Our client is a well-established charitable organisation that has been supporting carers and vulnerable individuals within the local community for over 30 years. Delivering both Care at Home services and comprehensive support programmes, the organisation provides vital care, advocacy, one-to-one assistance, and community-based services that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Following a recent strategic transformation, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director to provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple service areas.

Your new role

As Operations Director, you will report directly to the Board and take overall responsibility for the organisation’s operational performance. Managing two senior managers, you will oversee the effective delivery of key services, ensuring operations are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with organisational objectives.

This is a pivotal leadership position where you will provide stability and direction during a period of organisational change. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support teams through change, and foster a positive and inclusive culture. The role requires a commercially minded and solutions-focused leader who can confidently navigate operational challenges while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and organisational outcomes.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of managing operational teams and leading organisational change. You will possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective working relationships at all levels.You will bring a strategic and business-focused approach, alongside strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Experience within the charity, health and social care, public sector, or wider not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, although candidates with transferable leadership experience from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
