Job Description:
Full job descriptionRetail Sales Assistant, Cultural Landmark, London, £14.80 p/h plus holiday pay accrual.
High profile venue in Central London requires a reliable Retail Sales Assistant for some temporary shifts. These shifts can be weekdays or weekends and between 4 hours and 8 hours long.
The main duties of the Retail Sales Assistant role are:
*Welcome and positively engage every customer
*Maintain visual merchandising standards across the shop
*Help exceed all retail sales targets
*Fully answer customer enquiries in a calm, professional manner, calling on support of the management team when appropriate
*Take pride in one’s appearance and personal presentation
*Operate the EPOS system in a secure and efficient manner
*Work as part of a team in a positive manner
*Responsible for health and safety and welfare of staff and customers, ensuring compliance with policies
*Conduct regular stocktakes
*Assist with deliveries
*Ensure that the shop is kept clean and tidy, and that stock is regularly replenished
Skills and experience
*Experience of working in a retail environment, or similar
*Confidence and ability to proactively sell in very busy environments and exceed target
*Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering great customer service
*Good visual merchandising skills and excellent recall of product knowledge
*Flexible approach to a range of retail tasks, e.g. fulfilling online orders and stockroom duties
*Team-spirited
