Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Domestic Abuse Worker to work across dispersed refuge in Rochdale on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role, working on a rota basis which includes weekends.



The role




*As a Domestic Abuse Worker, this role will involve regular interaction with complex vulnerable clients in the community address support needs.
*Triage, accept and action new referrals including move in / move on procedures.
*Assess the needs of all clients using the appropriate paperwork and in conjunction with them devise a SMART plan to address identified need.
*Ensure housing benefit is claimed efficiently and rent payments are received for the duration of the stay.
*Assess the risk of all clients, completing risk management plans to address any risk identified.




The candidate



*An understanding of individuals and families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
*Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative and managing time effectively.
*Knowledge of devising needs assessment support plans and providing support in relation to these.
*Experience of trauma informed working, recognising support required around mental health, substance misuse issues, sex work and exploitation.
*Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs and homelessness.




As this role is to start as soon as possible, the successful candidate must have a DBS registered on the update service and have access to a car for work.
