Full job descriptionOur client Leicestershire County Council is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Screening first response team.
Agency Social Worker - Children’s Social Care Front Door / Screening Team
We are seeking an experienced agency Social Worker to join a busy Children’s Social Care Front Door / Screening Team.
The role involves screening contacts and referrals, analysing information, applying thresholds and making timely recommendations to ensure children and families receive the right response at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
*Screen and triage contacts and referrals relating to children and young people.
*Gather and analyse information from families, professionals and partner agencies.
*Apply safeguarding thresholds and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
*Record decisions, rationale and outcomes accurately and within timescales.
*Work effectively with Children’s Social Care, Targeted Family Help and multi-agency partners.
Essential Requirements
*Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
*Recent experience in Children’s Social Care, ideally front door, MASH, screening, duty or assessment.
*Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in threshold decision-making.
*Ability to work at pace in a high-volume environment.
*Excellent recording, analysis and communication skills.
