Working Pattern: Thursday & Friday
Hours: Full days each week
Phase: Key Stage 2 – Year 3
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed Year 3 Class Teacher to join our school team on a part-time basis, working Thursday and Friday each week. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
*Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
*Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and next steps.
*Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and more able pupils.
*Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and engagement.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
*Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.
*Prepare pupils for the next stage of their learning through effective teaching and strong classroom practice.
Essential Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Experience teaching within a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 2.
*Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, particularly in Year 3.
*Ability to plan and deliver creative, effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
*Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
*Strong assessment and organisational skills.
*A reflective, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching.
*Commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and raising standards.
Desirable Requirements
*Experience teaching Year 3 or lower Key Stage 2.
*Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
*Experience working collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.
*Knowledge of current primary curriculum developments and assessment practices.
