Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
We are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team for three days per week. This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner who can work independently, support teaching and learning across the school, and provide class cover when required.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of teaching staff.
*Provide planned class cover in the absence of the class teacher.
*Support pupils to achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential.
*Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and evaluate learning activities.
*Assist in assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress.
*Support the implementation of intervention programmes and targeted support.
*Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
*Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
*HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level.
*Proven experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary school setting.
*Confidence in leading whole-class learning and managing classroom behaviour.
*Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and use initiative.
*Flexible, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
