Permanent | Full-Time
An established and growing accountancy practice in Croydon is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to broaden their experience whilst working with a varied and interesting client portfolio.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services. Duties will include:
*Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
*Working with FRS102 and FRS105 reporting standards
*Completion of self-assessment tax returns
*Preparation of corporation tax returns
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Bookkeeping for a variety of clients
*Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day support and advice
*Assisting with general practice accounting duties as required
About You
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
*Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
*Good understanding of FRS102 and FRS105
*Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A proactive and client-focused approach
Qualifications
Experience is more important than qualifications, and applicants who can demonstrate strong practice experience will be considered, whether qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
