We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional care and development for young people. This role involves full management responsibilities including staff supervision, budget handling, and ensuring compliance with national regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare management and a commitment to enhancing service responsiveness and outcomes for young people and their families.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead and manage a staff team to ensure the home provides the best possible outcomes for all young people.
*Develop the service to be responsive to the needs of service users and their families.
*Take full management responsibility for the home, including managing staff, budgets, and resources.
*Ensure compliance with nationally defined regulations and standards.
*Be directly involved in the care and development of young people, ensuring their plans are appropriate and their views are considered.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, resources, and developments relevant to the care of young people.
*Manage recruitment, training, and development of staff to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
*Assess risk factors associated with new admissions.
*Maintain registration with Ofsted and meet all statutory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Final level professional qualification Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
*Minimum of two years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children within the last five years.
*At least one year’s experience in a supervisory and management role in a care setting.
*Proven ability to deliver effective outcomes and manage a complex service environment.
*Extensive experience in managing and supervising a range of staff.
*Substantial experience working with complex young people and families.
*Detailed knowledge of National Quality Standards, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Safeguarding Frameworks.
*Enhanced DBS clearance and registration with Social Work England if a Social Worker.
