We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Assistant Management Accountant / Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing business based in Basildon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who has exposure to management accounts and is looking for a varied role supporting the wider finance team. You will act as a key link between the day-to-day accounts function and the audit process, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies
Preparing financial information for audits and liaising with auditors when required
Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting the finance team with reporting requirements
Processing and reviewing financial transactions
Assisting with accruals, prepayments and journals
Supporting the smooth running of the accounts function across the business
Ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
About You
Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Management Accountant position
Exposure to management accounts preparation
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
Confident working with Excel and accounting systems
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous, although this is not essential
Organised, proactive and able to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
