Are you an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with a well-established and growing business in Retford that is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its friendly finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchase ledger or accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
The RoleAs Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll be responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time. You’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the finance function while building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
*Matching, batching and coding invoices.
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
*Preparing payment runs in line with payment schedules.
*Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
*Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records.
*Assisting with month-end processes and reporting.
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
*Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with suppliers and colleagues.
*Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
*The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
*A proactive and positive approach to work.
