We are seeking a qualified Art and Textiles Teacher to join our faith-based school for a temporary position starting in September and concluding on October 16th. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for art and textiles, who possesses the necessary qualifications and experience to inspire young minds in a community predominantly of Christian and Jewish students.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons in Art and Textiles that engage and motivate students.
*Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for any necessary evaluations.
*Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and learning experience.
*Manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy and orderly workspace.
*Uphold the faith-based ethos of the school in all teaching and interactions, respecting the religious backgrounds of all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
*Experience teaching Art and Textiles in a secondary school setting.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
*Passion for art and creative teaching methods.
*Respect for and understanding of the school’s faith-based values.
