We are representing a confidential client looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.
This opportunity requires someone with recent bookkeeping experience gained within a UK accountancy practice. You must be confident managing bookkeeping for multiple clients and using Xero regularly.
This is not a general administration or entry-level finance role. Applications without relevant accountancy-practice bookkeeping experience will not be progressed.
Responsibilities*Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
*Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and expenses
*Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
*Completing bank, credit card and account reconciliations
*Maintaining accurate financial records
*Preparing bookkeeping records up to trial balance
*Assisting with VAT returns and month-end requirements
*Investigating and resolving discrepancies
*Liaising with clients to obtain records and answer queries
*Managing multiple client deadlines
*Using Xero confidently on a daily basis
Essential Experience*Recent bookkeeping experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Experience working across multiple client accounts
*Confident, hands-on experience using Xero
*Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations
*Ability to prepare accurate bookkeeping records up to trial balance
*Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
*Strong attention to detail and communication skills
*Competent Microsoft Excel skills
An AAT qualification or current AAT studies would be beneficial but are not essential where relevant experience can be demonstrated.
