The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specification Technologist to join a fast-paced and collaborative technical team. You will play a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, compliant, and delivered to customers efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:*Coordinating the collection of data required to create new product specifications
*Developing and maintaining detailed product specifications in line with customer, regulatory, and quality standards
*Uploading and managing specification data across multiple customer systems and portals
*Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve technical queries and support risk assessments
*Ensuring product information meets all legal and safety requirements prior to approval
*Managing and maintaining site documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
*Completing customer documentation, including SAQs and allergen risk assessments
*Reviewing and approving packaging artwork
*Supporting product launches with technical documentation and insight
*Preparing certification documentation (e.g. allergen, ethical or product-specific schemes)

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-focused, and eager to build a career within food manufacturing. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving environment and be confident managing multiple priorities.

Key requirements include:*A background in food science or a technical/quality discipline within food manufacturing
*Experience with product specifications is advantageous, though full training will be provided
*Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills
*A structured, logical approach to problem-solving
*Knowledge of GMP principles, food safety standards, and allergens
*Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
*Strong organisational and administrative abilities
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
*A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
