Job Description:
Full job descriptionReed Finance are pleased to be partnering with a successful South Essex based business who are in need of a new senior finance leader to form part of the organisation’s senior leadership team. The role offers broad responsibilities across multiple operating platforms, focusing on financial control, reporting, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will be rigorous, process-driven, and adept at managing multiple priorities. Due to potential organisational restructures, they are flexible as to the level and exact experience/skillset they appoint and will be driven predominantly on the candidate and their expertise, and how that aligns with the organisation’s goals.
A few key day to day focuses and responsibilities:
*Lead the transactional and reporting finance team, including coaching, development, and performance oversight.
*Oversee the production of statutory accounts and manage the year-end audit process, ensuring timely delivery.
*Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs, providing clear analysis and insight to support decision-making.
*Ensure consistency and integrity of all financial reporting across the operation
*Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial information and analysis.
*Establish and maintain robust financial control, data governance, and internal controls in compliance with all regulatory and internal governance requirements.
*Lead the development of scalable finance systems, driving automation and the use of AI to increase efficiency and support growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience.
*Proven experience leading a finance team and developing junior team members.
*Experience managing year-end audit processes and producing statutory accounts
*Demonstrable experience in implementing and strengthening financial controls, processes, and governance.
*Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple entities.
