Job Description:
Full job descriptionReed are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy and established Accountancy Practice on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who can hit the ground running and support the payroll team during a busy period. This is an office based role, 3 to 4 days a week and the temp duration is from 3-6 months.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients.
*Calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, statutory payments and deductions.
*Processing starters, leavers and changes to employee records.
*Managing SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments.
*Submitting RTI reports to HMRC.
*Processing pension contributions and auto-enrolment requirements.
*Handling payroll queries from clients and employees.
*Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
*Assisting with payroll reconciliations and year-end payroll processes where required.
Requirements
*Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice or bureau environment.
*Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
*Experience using payroll software such as Sage Payroll, BrightPay, Iris Payroll, Moneysoft or similar.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong communication and client-facing skills.
*Ability to manage multiple payrolls and work to strict deadlines.
*Available to start at short notice.
