Full job descriptionA leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI across its Global Markets and Operations functions. You’ll play a key role in delivering scalable AI solutions that enhance trading operations, automate workflows, improve regulatory controls, and increase business efficiency.
AI Engineer (Python/Java)
London (Hybrid)
£700-900/day (Umbrella)
A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI across its Global Markets and Operations functions. You’ll play a key role in delivering scalable AI solutions that enhance trading operations, automate workflows, improve regulatory controls, and increase business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities*Design and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise workflows.
*Build AI frameworks aligned with governance, security, and regulatory standards.
*Develop intelligent automation to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
*Partner with business and technology teams to identify high-value AI use cases.
*Deliver scalable, cloud-native AI applications with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
*Contribute to AI strategy, architecture, and best practices across the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience*Strong development experience with Python and/or Java (C++ beneficial).
*Proven experience building Generative AI and Agentic AI applications.
*Experience implementing AI solutions within financial services or other regulated environments.
*Strong SQL skills.
*Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Snowflake.
*Experience with CI/CD and version control tools (Git, TeamCity or similar).
*Understanding of AI governance, prompt engineering, and LLM frameworks.
Desirable*Experience supporting business-critical financial applications.
*Knowledge of trading, securities, or capital markets.
