Full job descriptionMy client is seeking an experienced Investment Operations professional with 18+ months’ experience within wealth or asset management. Candidates should have strong exposure to cash and stock reconciliations, data entry/maintenance across investment systems, transaction processing and resolving operational breaks.

Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
Location: City of London
A leading wealth management firm in the City of London is seeking a Senior Operations Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations professional to join a highly respected organisation, supporting the accuracy, efficiency and ongoing improvement of key operational processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining investment data, completing reconciliations, supporting reporting requirements and ensuring operational accuracy across the business.
What you’ll do:*Maintain accurate and up-to-date data across investment management systems, including client information, custodian data, securities, transactions, pricing feeds, currency data, benchmarks, indices and other static data.
*Perform daily and periodic cash and stock reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring exceptions are resolved accurately and within agreed timescales.
*Complete trade order reconciliations, identifying breaks and working with custodians and internal teams to investigate root causes and prevent future issues.
*Ensure the accuracy and integrity of operational data through detailed reviews, validation checks and effective data management processes.
*Generate and analyse operational and regulatory reporting, including transaction reporting and client portfolio notifications.
*Produce regular client, custodian and internal MI reports, including AUM, cash movements and portfolio activity reporting.
*Prepare and distribute client reports, ensuring all required checks are completed before delivery.
*Support corporate action processes, including reviewing custodian notifications and ensuring accurate processing of elections and instructions.
*Work closely with custodians, platform providers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
*Support wider projects focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving controls and streamlining processes.
What you bring:*18 months+ experience within investment operations, wealth management or asset management is essential.
*Proven experience with cash and stock reconciliations, investigating breaks and resolving operational discrepancies.
*Strong experience with data entry, data maintenance and ensuring accuracy across investment systems.
*Good understanding of investment products, transactions and operational processes.
*Experience working with custodians, platforms or third-party providers would be advantageous.
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
*Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
*A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
*A professional approach with the ability to handle confidential client and business information.
