Ready to take ownership of HR and make a genuine impact? If you’re an experienced HR professional looking for greater responsibility, more autonomy and the opportunity to influence the direction of a business, this could be the next step in your career.
Our client is a well-established manufacturing SME with a long-standing reputation for quality and continuous improvement. Following significant investment in developing its HR function, they’re now looking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to build on the strong foundations already in place.
Reporting directly to the CEO and Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day HR function, becoming a trusted advisor to managers across the business. The outgoing HR Manager has established robust HR policies, processes and best practices, leaving an excellent platform for you to build upon. Rather than starting from scratch, you’ll inherit an established function with several projects ready to take forward.
If you enjoy working autonomously, building trusted relationships and making a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
The RoleAs Senior HR Advisor, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring HR continues to support the wider goals of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing recruitment, onboarding and employee retention.
*Advising managers on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
*Coaching managers on people matters and best practice.
*Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures.
*Coordinating learning and development initiatives.
*Managing payroll administration and maintaining accurate HR records.
*Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
*Completing HR projects already underway and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
About YouWe’re looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys taking ownership, building strong relationships and delivering practical HR solutions.
Whether you’re currently a Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or already operating in a standalone HR role, we’d love to hear from you if you’re ready for a position offering greater responsibility and influence.
You’ll ideally have:
*Experience in a generalist HR role with responsibility for employee relations, recruitment and advising managers.
*CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum (Level 5 or working towards would be advantageous).
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*A pragmatic, resilient and commercially minded approach.
*The confidence to build credibility and influence positively with managers at all levels.
*Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or another SME environment would be advantageous.
Above all, you’re someone who enjoys working independently, earning trust and making a positive impact across the business.
What’s on Offer?*£35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
*Full-time, permanent position.
*Monday to Friday working pattern.
*25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
*Company pension.
*Free on-site parking.
*Genuine ownership of an established HR function.
*Direct exposure to the CEO and Finance Manager.
*A varied role where your ideas and initiative will make a real difference.
