Academics are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Special School in Mid Sussex for a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Every day is different, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on pupils’ confidence, independence, and learning.
The Role:*Full-time position starting in September 2026
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
*Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff
*Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:*At least 6 months’ experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs
*A caring, patient and resilient attitude
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
*Right to work in the UK
