Job Description:
Full job descriptionThis is a broad and highly visible role, combining talent development, HR partnering, stakeholder management and programme delivery. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, supporting employees throughout their development lifecycle while working closely with senior business leaders to ensure the highest standards of people development.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in a law firm or another professional services business looking to take ownership of a high-profile early careers population.


Key Responsibilities*Act as the primary point of contact for an allocated early careers population, providing ongoing guidance and support.
*Manage career development conversations, performance discussions and progression processes.
*Coordinate talent allocation and workforce planning alongside business leaders.
*Lead key development initiatives, learning programmes and onboarding activities.
*Support international and client secondment programmes.
*Partner with HR colleagues and senior stakeholders on employee relations matters and people initiatives.
*Build strong relationships with external training providers and manage supplier partnerships.
*Deliver presentations, workshops and development sessions.
*Contribute to strategic projects focused on talent, learning, inclusion and employee experience.
*Analyse trends and provide insights to support continuous improvement across early careers programmes.
About YouYou’ll already have experience within HR, Early Careers, Talent Development or HR Business Partnering, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment.
You’ll also bring:
*Experience managing or supporting structured early careers or graduate programmes.
*Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
*A collaborative, relationship-driven approach and excellent communication skills.
*The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational delivery.
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*A high level of professionalism, discretion and emotional intelligence when dealing with confidential matters.
*Broad HR knowledge, with employee relations experience being advantageous.
*A CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) would be beneficial but is not essential.
