An established and reputable business based in Chadderton is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. With a strong presence within their sector, the business prides itself on its collaborative culture and supportive team environment.
Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s cash flow and maintaining strong customer relationships. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue payments are collected in a timely manner whilst providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
*Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email
*Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
*Resolving account queries and investigating payment issues
*Allocating incoming payments accurately
*Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor balances
*Working closely with colleagues across finance and other departments to achieve team objectives
*Supporting the wider finance function as required
What you’ll need to succeed
*Previous experience working in a Credit Controller position
*Proven ability to manage and reduce aged debt
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*A proactive and organised approach to work
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative working environment
*Good IT skills, including experience using finance systems and Microsoft Office
*Immediately available and can get to the office in Chadderton
