Based in London, hybrid working
Inside IR35
Length: 3 months initially, likely 6
We are working with a London Local Authority who are looking to appoint an specialist Mental Health Commissioner to support their ASC Commissioning Team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead on the development of a 5 year mental health commissioning strategy and delivery plan, to strengthen the mental health pathway including supported accommodation
*Analyse current and future needs, market capacity and spend
*Take forwards engagement and co production with providers, service users and unpaid carers
*Propose clear recommendations and next steps for commissioning and procurement
*Work together with South West London commissioning leads on any joint commissioning opportunities
*Ensure Mental Health commissioning is embedded into the day opportunities and supported accommodation contracts
*Understand, interpret and commission services in line with the new Mental Health Act 2025
Essential experience:
*Proven experience in adult social care commissioning is essential, working on programmes / projects for mental health commissioning
*Experience in mental health accommodation and pathways
*Use of project management principles, tools and techniques
*Data analysis and triangulation from a variety of sources
*Ability to produce clear, high quality reports and presentations to a range of audiences
