Senior Electronics Engineer


Are you a Senior Electronics Design Engineer with Project Experience?


Join Belcan, as we are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer and be part of a global leader in engineering consultancy, and take charge of exciting projects that span industrial control systems, automated test equipment, and electro-mechanical innovations, based in Cheltenham.


What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our engineering solutions and leading projects from concept to completion and delivering high-performance systems that meet real-world challenges.
*Design and develop electronic systems including FPGA, analogue, and digital circuits
*Create and support PCB designs (schematic capture, layout, FMEA, component analysis)
*Manage small to medium-sized projects with full lifecycle responsibility
*Ensure compliance with engineering standards and configuration controls
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver tailored solutions
*Mentor more Junior Engineers to industry standards for safety critical products


What You Bring:
*Experience in CAD design (SolidWorks or similar)
*Strong circuit design skills from first principles
*Familiarity with PLM tools and engineering data management
*Hands-on experience with Altium, VHDL, Libero (Microsemi) or similar tools
*Previous project management experience in an engineering environment
*A proactive mindset and a passion for solving complex technical problems
